One of the most interesting aspects of my job is the alchemy that lies between the diverse ingredients composing a new product. The harmony between nature, intuition and the knowledge of prime matters frequently produces unexpected results, guided by the archaic language of our skin. The laboratory researchers render the products special during the creative process, starting from the basic recipe up until the realization of the final product. It is this human aspect that I deem of utmost importance - where competence and professionalism must never be neglected. Technicians, aestheticians, chemists and biologists must be able to work in unison, creating a collective synthesis, which often represents excellence in the sector. Skin in the last barrier, afterwhich comes the world. Cosmetics are elements that make intimate contact with our body. And the reaction we have to this contact speaks volumes about us. The dermis responds immediately to external stimuli and it is the duty of us professionals to interpret the reactions and customize individual solutions. It is a fascinating job, rich with new discoveries yielding extraordinary results when carried out with creativity and constance.
